Anushka Sharma Detailed at Mumbai Airport

Bollywood actress Anuskha Sharma becomes latest Bolly celebrity to be caught by custom officials while carrying gold.

She was detained at Mumbai international airport by the custom officials for bringing in jewelleries, expensive watches and other high value gift items without proper documentation.

She was returning from Toronto after attending the IIFA Awards ceremony. She is still under custody at the airport while custom officials keep on grilling her. As per sources she was carrying items worth over Rs. 9 Lakhs.

This is not the first time that an Indian actreess has been caught by custom officials. Bipasha Basu and Minissha Lamba have also been detained by custom officials in the past while carrying truck loads of cash and jewellery. Both of them were let off after bribing officials.

Sunny Leone Item Song Shootout At Wadala

Sunny Leone will be doing a special item song and shaking legs with John Abraham and Tusshar Kapoor.

John Abraham plays Manya Surve in Shootout At Wadala which Anil Kapoor, Manoj Bajpai, Sonu Sood, Kangna Ranaut and Tusshar Kapoor. Film is set to release on Maharashtra Day, May 1, 2013.

Kangana Ranaut to direct film

Her movie is shot in Los Angeles with entire cast and crew of America. The film is about a four year old boy and a dog. Kangana Ranaut says that she donned the director’s hat “after meeting Hollywood biggies during one of my recent trips to Los Angeles. And things just fell into place.”

She tried hard to justify her new role. She says, “It took six months of thorough groundwork. I was advised not to work with kids and animals, but my script demanded it. Kaden (the boy) is very little. We had to place hidden cameras, play games, and pretend to be aliens and trees in order to get him in the frame)! But it was fun, he is adorable.”

Adding further she says, “The dog was well-trained and not difficult to work with either. We intend to send the film for international festivals, but as of now, I am concentrating on finishing the editing and visual effects. That’s the only thing on my mind before I leave for Paris for my next acting schedule.”

She has now been obsessed with her directorial venture. “I love both apples and oranges in a unique way…. But working with an international cast and crew was an amazing experience,” she says.

She didn’t forget to thank her director friends back in India who gave her support when she needed them most. They even encouraged her to make her short film.

In addition to direction, she is also busy acting in Aanand L. Rai’s “Tanu Weds Manu Season 2,” Rakesh Roshan’s “Krrish 3”, Karan Johar’s “Unglee,” and Sanjay Gupta’s Shootout at Wadala.

Akriti Kakkar

The confusion cropped up while compling the music album for Jism 2 that resulted into wrong credits. Talking to a tabloid Akriti said, “I was wrongly quoted by an publication that I was fumed on the goof up. I would just like to clear out that I don’t want to blame anyone; it’s a confusion which generally tends to take place while compiling an album. There are two versions of the song ‘Abhi Abhi,’ one sung by me while other by Shreya, and my version has gone under Shreya’s name by mistake.”

However she is not miffed up with this confusion. She says she is happy that her fans recognized her voice and informed her about it.

“Infact, I have taken this goof up as a compliment because I am glad to know that my fans have recognized my voice, which is the best compliment an artiste could ever get. I have also been praised stating that my voice resembles Shreya Ghosal’s vocals. We are best friends so I have no reason to get annoyed with or blame anyone,” says Akriti.

Bhatts have admitted the fault and said that Akriti’s version was wrongly credited and so the next batch of CDz will comprise of Shreya’s voice as stated.

Seems Jism 2 is another name of controversies and hiccups.

Vimala Raman bags her 2nd Bollywood movie

Vimala Raman received huge appreciation for her performance in her first film. Now she has bagged another Bollywood film for which she is obviously too excited. She has begun the shooting for her next film in Mumbai.

She posted on Twitter, “Sorry guys, haven’t been in touch for a while. But now I am back. I missed you all a lot. Thank you for your continued love and support. Hope you are doing good. I am in Mumbai at the moment starting shooting for a new Bollywood project “Mumbai Mirror” from today. Can’t tell you how excited I am.”

Apart from it, she is also busy with a multi starrer Hindi film ‘Afra Tafri’ that stars Govinda, Suniel Shetty and Mugdha Godse in the lead roles.

Department

The film includes stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Rana Daggubati in the lead roles.

Ramu claims that his film is meant for the masses. He also says that the film is different from his previous films like “Satya” and “Company”.

The filmmaker exclaims, “‘Department’ is not based on gangsters. But yes with ‘Department’, we are talking about the police department and with police department… and somewhere gangsters are also there.”

He adds, “Having said that, the film’s format is very different from ‘Company’ and ‘Satya’. It is more of a mass entertainer format.”

The film hits the theaters on 18th May.

Poonam Pandey goes Bollywood

Poonam Pandey’s financial manager Vipin Medhekar has confirmed that Poonam Pandey will be soon doing a Bollywood film. He further confirms that the first look of the Poonam’s film will be out soon, hopefully by the end of this month or earlier next month.

Vipin also says that it will be the boldest film of Bollywood till date. Meanwhile Aditya Bhatia, the national marketing head for the Production House claims that Poonam was the most preferential choice for the film and role as she ahs immense potential and talent.

Few rumors say that it will be a biopic of Poonam however, it is not the truth. Aditya says, ”Why would we make a film based on her life? Her life is out in the open in cyberspace. The film will show her in a different light.”

Hope Poonam shows her acting skills more than skin show in the film.

Asin refused to work with Shahid Kapoor

The Tamil blockbuster film ‘Vettai’ is about to be remade in Hindi and Shahid Kapoor plays the male lead in it. But Shahid’s troubles are increasing with each passing day. No actress is ready to work with this dashing hero of Bollywood.

When Sonakshi refused the film, it was offered to Asin, but even she rejected to do the film opposite Shahid and said when she was already doing film with biggies of Bollywood she doesn’t need to do film with heroes like Shahid Kapoor.

Asin has debuted opposite Aamir Khan in Bollywood through ‘Ghajini’. She then did two films with Salman Khan even ‘London Dreams’ and ‘Ready’. Next year her film ‘Most Wanted’ opposite Salman will hit the theaters.

In addition to these, she is doing a film with Shahrukh Khan also which is based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel ‘Two States’.
Sources claim that Asin has two reasons to refuse the film. She doesn’t want to act opposite Shahid Kapoor and secondly she doesn’t want to share screen space with any other heroine as well.

Reports suggest that now when these two ladies have turned down the offer, the south Indian actress Ileana D’Cruz would star in the movie.

Sunny Leone with Jism 2 actors

Arunoday is confident that all this work in favor of the film. He says, “The film is a marketing genius. Every move by the makers is very smart and that is the reason the film was being talked about so much even before it went on floors. Now, it is up to us to pull it off.”

Arunoday plays love interest of Sunny Leone alongwith Randeep Hooda. He is all praises for Sunny. He is comfortable working with her. “She (Sunny) is very beautiful. I don’t judge anyone by the work the person has done in the past. She may be a porn star but Jism 2 is not a porn film. People should keep that in mind,” said 28 year old the actor.

Bhatt’s movies are more women centric, but Singh has no qualms about it even. All the attention that Sunny is grabbing these days doesn’t affect Arunoday.

“I have no problems with the fact that the focus is on Sunny. I care only about my work. I care about my role. I don’t care who they cast, how they make it, how they promote it. My job is to act,” he signs off.

Nupur Mehta dragged Tillakaratne Dilshan in the match fixing scandal

She claims that she had gone there for killing time. “I went for a leisure trip to London. Well, I am free to go anywhere. During those days the T20 World Cup was on and I could see a lot of cricketers roaming on the streets. Be it restaurants or discotheques you could find cricketers,” claimed sNupur.

According to Nupur Mehta it was a mere coincidence that she was there at the casino at the same time when the cricketers were also there. Nonetheless she says that she knows nobody personally.

She says, “I went to a casino and found a few cricketers present there. But if you link my name to them then it is absolutely wrong. You cannot link names of celebrities with players in such a manner.”

She also rubbished the rumours and reports that suggested that she was seeing Dilshan. Nupur says, “I am a big fan of Dilshan but I did not meet him. I just saw him there. This is the only truth to it.”

Nupur Mehta is upset with the newspaper that maligned her image and now she wants to sue the daily. She also claims that she doesn’t know any cricketer or bookie.

An angry Nupur Mehta says, “I don’t know any bookie and they are just defaming my image. I will take them to court.
