The Release Of Katrina Kaif’s Dhoom 3 Has Been Postponed To 2013
Two successful releases in the past from the Dhoom series has got the audience waiting eagerly for more, but unfortunately they will have to wait a little longer as the release date of Yash Raj Films Dhoom 3 has been moved ahead to a 2013 release instead of its original Christmas release in 2012.
The movie will have Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra in their usual former roles that they played in Dhoom and Dhoom 2, of a policeman and a petty thief respectively, who are close on the chase of a very witty and clever burglar in each part. Their chase is against John Abraham in Dhoom while Hrithik Roshan is the adept cat burglar in Dhoom 2 who has the duo on their heels throughout the film.
Yash Raj films has signed up Katrina Kaif for Dhoom 3 to add glamour to the film just like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Bipasha Basu had done in Dhoom 2.
Third in the Dhoom series, the Aditya Chopra produced film will hit the floors this November. According to the production team, a rigorous 10-11 months of shooting followed by postproduction activities will be required to complete the film. Even then considering a Christmas 2012 release will be cutting it too thin.
Therefore, producer Aditya Chopra along with director Vijay Krishna Acharya and with the consultation of Aamir Khan, who will play the lead in Dhoom 3, decided to shift the release date from Christmas 2012 to a 2013 release.
This decision has also inadvertently avoided its clash with the release of Dabangg 2, which is also to release in Christmas 2012.
