Kareena Kapoor unveiled her wax figure at Madame Tussauds Blackpool on 27th October 2011.
With Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and Hritik Roshan having already taken their places at Madame Tussauds London, it was actress Kareena Kapoor’s turn to make it to the famous wax museum. However, her wax statue was not to stand by the others at the London wax museum, instead it will be placed alongside well known TV, music and sport personalities at Madame Tussauds Blackpool where the actress unveiled it yesterday.
The waxwork figure that took four months to complete and cost a whooping £150,000 is absolutely phenomenal says the actress with great satisfaction. She felt greatly honoured and privileged for having been chosen to have her waxwork figure created.
Said Kareena, “Madame Tussauds Blackpool have done a tremendous job at recreating me perfectly to the T.” “Although being immortalized is very terrifying, I am honoured and very delighted to have a waxwork figure at Madame Tussauds,” added the actress.
Kareena Kapoor arrived in Blackpool to unveil her wax statue on October 27 with thousands of fans waiting outside Madame Tussauds Blackpool to catch a glimpse of the Bollywood diva. The actress who has more than 30 films to her credit, also flagged off a worldwide touring exhibition here, commemorating Indian cinema actors and actresses.
Her wax figure will be on display at Blackpool until January 2012 after which it will travel to various Asian countries along with the wax figures of her London counterparts as part of the touring exhibition that the actress inaugurated.
The Bollywood star however would love to stand next to Johnny Depp.
“I am a great fan of his,” says Kareena Kapoor.
